GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Colorado Division of Wildlife is looking for information in the recent poaching of a pronghorn antelope. The pronghorn carcass was discovered on Thursday, March 4 by utility workers along a ditch road northwest of 24 and F ½ Roads in Grand Junction.

DENVER, Colo. -- The Colorado Division of Wildlife is starting its 5-year review of statewide fishing regulations and is asking anglers throughout the state to provide comments and suggestions on regulations and possible changes.

SALIDA, Colo. - An apparently malnourished young mountain lion entered a Chaffee County residence Thursday afternoon, killing one dog and briefly trapping a mother and her two children inside the house until Chaffee County Sheriffs Deputies evacuated them.

The Colorado Division of Wildlife will hold a series of hunting seminars in southeastern Colorado to help big game hunters prepare for the 2010 seasons.

Hunters are invited to attend sessions in Cheyenne Wells, La Junta, Lamar, Limon, Colorado Springs, Simla, Ellicott, Kiowa, Pueblo, Canon City, Buena Vista, and Salida.

DENVER, Colo.--Big game hunters can now experience the excitement and adventure of Colorado elk hunting by immersing themselves in "Elk Camp Colorado,"the latest online video from the Colorado Division of Wildlife.

CRAIG, Colo. - The Colorado Division of Wildlife will host a youth ice fishing event in Craig on Saturday, Feb. 27 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Little Rascals Pond (800 West 1st St.). All kids are welcome. Any youth 16 and older must have a current fishing license. Fishing poles, bait, lures, other ice fishing equipment and lots of hot chocolate will be provided. Participants need to bring warm layers of clothing, gloves, and hats. Participants can also bring their own fishing equipment. DENVER, Colo. --The Colorado Division of Wildlife is now accepting original artwork for the 2010 Colorado Waterfowl Stamp Art Contest. Wildlife artists from across the nation are invited to participate in this year's competition.

PUEBLO, Colo. - The 2010 Pueblo "Eagle Days Festival" is slated for Feb. 6-7 at Lake Pueblo State Park and Wildlife Area. Activities include live bird demonstrations, bird watching classes, wildlife viewing stations, and performances by the United States Air Force Academy falcons and the Koshare Indian Dancers.

The Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) is looking for landowners in SE Colorado to lease access for the 2010 hunting seasons. The DOW's Big Game Access Program (BGAP) will continue for a fourth year. This fourth year will provide ongoing private lands access while allowing the DOW time to complete the analysis of the first three years of the pilot program (2007-2009).

DENVER, Colo. - The Colorado Division of Wildlife named Russell, Tricia, Lyle and Jackie Davis recipients of the 2009 "Landowner of the Year" award. The Davis family received this award in recognition of their outstanding contributions to wildlife conservation, community service and innovative management of the Wineinger-Davis Ranch.
