LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Game and Fish Commission crews stocked over 1 million fish in Arkansas lakes and rivers during July, according to Mike Armstrong, chief of fisheries. The total stocking of fish weighed in excess of 55,800 pounds.

FLIPPIN, Arkansas - When he hoisted the $1 million paycheck in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Ranger Pro Scott Suggs, winner of the 2007 Forrest Wood Cup, became the sole member of a very exclusive club: the only professional bass angler to ever collect a seven-figure payday for winning a single event. But from August 14-17 on South Carolina's Lake Murray, some 60 Ranger Pros will be vying to duplicate Suggs' feat.

FLIPPIN, Arkansas - The upcoming FLW Outdoors Show in Columbia, South Carolina, which runs in conjunction with the 2008 Forrest Wood Cup from August 14-17, will serve as the first public viewing of the 2009 model Ranger boats and promises to give fans of fishing and spending time outdoors a world-class look at all the newest gear.

Mike McClelland of Bella Vista, Arkansas, collected enough pounds and ounces of bass throughout the Bassmaster Elite Series season to win the 2008 Berkley Heavyweight Award. McClelland, who should finish in the top three in the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year race Sunday, received $20,000 for his Berkley Heavyweight effort at the season-ending Champion's Choice presented by Ramada Worldwide on Oneida Lake out of Syracuse, N.Y.
