JUNCTION CITY TO HOST GOVERNORS GOLF AND FISHING CLASSIC JUNE 13-14

The 12th Annual Governor’s Golf and Fishing Classic will be held June 13-14 at Rolling Meadows Golf Course and Milford Reservoir, near Junction City. Participants may enjoy a round of golf at Rolling Meadows Golf Course on Friday, June 13. On Saturday morning, anglers will compete for the Governor’s Cup, which will be presented at lunch following the event. Fishing Classic participants must attend a brief meeting at 5:30 Friday evening to pair guides and contestants. A barbecue dinner and auction will follow the meeting.

Hood Canal sport shrimp season extended two days

Action: Sufficient quota remains in Hood Canal to extend the shrimp season two days between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on May 17 and May 21.

Effective dates: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 and Wednesday, May 21, 2008.

ODFW Fish Passage Task Force to meet in Hines

HINES, Ore. — The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Fish Passage Task Force will meet on Friday, May 16 in Hines at the Comfort Inn at 504 N. Highway 20.

The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. and the agenda includes a summary of Southeastern Oregon fish populations and passage, a description of Malheur National Wildlife Refuge fish passage projects, a presentation on ODFW fish passage funding programs and projects, review of a request to increase funding for a project in Southwest Oregon and other Task Force business.
