Bainbridge Island, Washington - The top names in Fly Fishing have joined forces together to put togther a world-class fly fishing outfit as a fundraiser for Trout Unlimited-Alaska to help with their efforts protecting the Bristol Bay watershed.

CONCORD, N.H. -- The New Hampshire Fish and Game Commission is looking for nominations for its annual Awards of Excellence program to recognize outstanding achievements in furthering the N.H. Fish and Game Department's mission.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is holding a public information meeting concerning the management of Clear Lake near Talcot Lake in Cottonwood County. The DNR is proposing to formally designate Clear Lake for wildlife management and to create a Migratory Waterfowl Sanctuary. A public information meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. at the DNR office, 175 County Road 26 in Windom. This meeting will be an open house style meeting. DNR staff will be available to discuss proposed lake management and answer questions from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

All of the trout in New Mexico’s McAllister Lake, a popular fishing spot near Las Vegas, have reportedly died as the result of hot summer temperatures and an accidental diversion of water.
"McAllister Lake is really on the threshold for trout in New Mexico," says Eric Frey, Northeast Area Fisheries Manager. "Because the lake is so shallow, summer heat causes marginal water quality for trout survival."

NEWPORT, Ore – The all-depth sport halibut fishery off the central Oregon coast will reopen July 19, 20 and 21.

The central Oregon coast – from Cape Falcon 30 miles south of the Columbia River to Humbug Mountain south of Port Orford – has 36,000 pounds remaining from the all-depth spring quota.
