BFL Volunteer anglers to tie up with cold, crabby bass

MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (Feb. 24, 2010) - The FLW Bass Fishing League is headed to Lake Cherokee March 6 for the first of five stops in the Volunteer Division series. As many as 400 pro and co-anglers will be competing for top awards of up to $8,000 and $3,000, respectively.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (February 23, 2010) - The Berkley Experience Trailer will be at the Bass Pro Shops in Kodak, Tenn., for the fifth stop in 2010. The 60-foot trailer of fun and activities brings fishing education to all skill levels of anglers. The scheduled stop for the Berkley Experience Trailer is February 26th and is set to end February 28th.

This past Saturday August 15th the Cabela's King Kat Tournament Trail held a qualifying event on the Pickwick/Wilson Lakes at Sheffield, Alabama, which is also the site for the 2009 Cabela's King Kat Classic to be held October 16th and 17th.

The Lakeland, Florida, Bassmaster Elite Series pro opened up a nearly 9-pound advantage, barely scratching the surface of a foolproof spot on massive Kentucky Lake. Lane, something of a shallow-water specialist, ditched the banks and targeted the ledges, home to the heaviest bass on Kentucky.

Camden, Tennessee - 80 collegiate anglers representing 21 universities throughout the southeast met at Birdsong Resort in Camden, Tennessee on Saturday, May 16 to contest the Tennessee River Rumble on Kentucky Lake. This event was the final of 5 regional events sanctioned by the Association of Collegiate Anglers leading up to the 2009 BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship (CBFC) scheduled for May 25 - 29 at Lake Lewisville, Texas. Careco Multimedia's camera teams were on hand to capture the action. Coverage of the regional events and the CBFC will be featured on the collegiate bass fishing championship television series that will air on the Versus network Saturday mornings this fall.

BYRDSTOWN, TENNESSEE - Jack Poindexter of Livingston, Tennessee, won the Walmart Bass Fishing League® Mountain Division tournament on Dale Hollow Lake Saturday with a five-bass catch weighing 18 pounds, 7 ounces. The victory earned Poindexter $4,763 and placed him one step closer to qualifying for the Lake Norman Regional Championship in Lake Norman, N.C., Oct. 22-24, where he could ultimately win a new Ranger boat and a Chevy truck.
