COLUMBIA, South Carolina - The Berkley Experience Trailer is headed to Lake Murray and the FLW Cup in Columbia, South Carolina. The trailer will roll in August 14-17 and will offer demonstrations and interactive games for kids and adults.

Fishing fans will have the opportunity to meet some of the most accomplished anglers in the world of competitive bass fishing at six Wal-Mart stores in the Columbia area Aug. 13, from 5-7 p.m.

The world-class anglers will be signing autographs, posing for photos and offering fishing tips to store visitors during the two-hour event, which precedes the $2 million Forrest Wood Cup presented by BP and Castrol on Lake Murray August 14-17. Anglers from all 50 states plus Australia, Canada, Italy, Japan, Mexico and Spain competed in the Wal-Mart FLW Tour, Wal-Mart FLW Series, Stren Series Championship, Wal-Mart BFL All-American and TBF National Championship to qualify for the Forrest Wood Cup and a chance to compete for as much as $1 million.

Charleston, SC (PRWEB) May 7, 2008 -- Charleston will host the next event in the 20th Annual Governor's Cup Billfish Tournament Series at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina from June 25-28. Participating boats will amass points for billfish landed or released and compete for three major awards: Outstanding Billfish, Outstanding Boat, and Outstanding Conservationist. Awards will also be given for outstanding tuna, dolphin and wahoo. Not to be left out, female and youth anglers will be recognized as well. The HMY/Viking Megadock Billfish Tournament will occur at the Charleston City Marina from July 9-12 and nearby Seabrook Island's Bohicket Marina Invitational Billfish Tournament will occur from July 23-26. BRUNSWICK ANNOUNCES IT WILL STOP PRODUCTION ON ALL BLUEWATER MARINE BRANDS

After the market close yesterday, Brunswick Corporation announced it would cease production of all Bluewater Marine brands in Newberry, South Carolina. The shutdown means Sea Pro, Sea Boss, Palmetto and Laguna brands are out of production and Brunswick will close the entire facility by the end of next month.

The idea for Outdoorsman Exchange came about in an instant, but in a way it was sometime in the making – we just didn’t realize it at the time.

For years my husband, Paul, has wanted to go on an elk hunt. I’ve encouraged him many times. He and his brothers talk how they should all go elk hunting out west with their Dad before age took its toll on him. Pursuit of that dream sounded good but there was always the financial reality check that held my husband back. He couldn’t justify spending money on a guided hunting trip and felt a guided trip was the only way to go for a successful hunt. This voice inside kept telling him - we need to save money for more sensible things like kids braces, college funds, etc. Most everyone can relate to these thoughts, unless you’re an heir to a fortune.
