TOLEDO, OH - On December 14, 2011, the Ohio Lake Erie Commission approved the following five Lake Erie Protection Fund grant awards:
Erie County Health Department was awarded a grant in the amount of $15,000 to track Harmful Algal Blooms in the Sandusky Bay throughout 2012. Partnering with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the health department will collect key data to be used to confirm the information provided by satellite imagery, thereby improving early warning satellite products.
