 <title>State Record Grass Carp Caught</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife has confirmed that a Grass Carp caught by James Dempsey, Jr of Ewing New Jersey on May 12, 2011 is officially a new state record. The huge fish was taken from Curlis Lake in Mercer County and weighed an astounding 55 lbs. 8 oz., surpassing the previous record set in 2008 by Homer Tye by one pound, one ounce. That record fish was also from Curlis Lake.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Great Egg Reef Concrete Deployment Rescheduled to May 27</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife has rescheduled the deployment of 6000 cubic yards of demolition concrete on the Great Egg Reef to May 27, 2011.  Bad weather forced a postponement from the original date of April 22. The deployment is part of the Division&#039;s Artificial Reef Program which provides habitat for structure dependent fishes, creates fishing grounds for hook and line anglers, and creates attractions for scuba divers.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>NJ Saltwater Registry Now Available</title>

&lt;p&gt;This registry allows New Jersey to comply with a federal mandate to have a system in place to collect better data from recreational anglers and better manage fishery resources, at the same time exempting anglers from fees and keeping saltwater fishing in New Jersey free.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>NJ Trout Season Opens Saturday April 9</title>

More than 180,000 trout will have been stocked in 88 streams and 90 ponds and lakes throughout New  Jersey for the opening at 8 a.m. on Saturday. By the end of May nearly 600,000 trout will be stocked throughout the state.&lt;/p&gt;
