PHOENIX — A public meeting of the Arizona Game and Fish Commission will be held Tuesday, March 9 at the Arizona Game and Fish Department headquarters at 5000 W. Carefree Highway in Phoenix.
The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. with an executive session, followed by the public session. Members of the commission will attend either in person or by telephone conference call.

If you haven’t had a chance to learn about or provide input into the review of Arizona’s State Wildlife Action Plan (SWAP), the last of a series of public meetings will be held on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 3 p.m. at the Arizona Game and Fish Department Headquarters, 5000 W. Carefree Highway, Phoenix.

"Whoa, that’s a monster!"
"That one has my name on it!"
"That’s the biggest trout I’ve ever seen!”
These were just a few of the many excited comments heard by urban fishing biologists as the extra-large incentive trout were delivered to all 21 of the Urban Fishing Program lakes on January 12. The special loads of bigger fish, and more fish, captured the attention of anglers and other park visitors, and sent them scrambling for their cameras, cell phones and fishing poles.

PHOENIX -- The winter storms and accompanying deep snows that impacted Arizona this week may make it challenging for wildlife in the short term, but wildlife biologists do not expect significant impacts to most species, especially large animals such as elk, deer and antelope.

Citing statistics showing that less than one-quarter of off-highway vehicles in Arizona have the required OHV Decal, Arizona Game and Fish Department Director Larry Voyles announced that the agency’s officers would be stepping up compliance enforcement efforts in the field.

Lake Shelbyville To Host Walmart Bass Fishing League Illini Division Tournament

FINDLAY, ILLINOIS - The Illini Division of the $8 million Walmart Bass Fishing League® will visit Lake Shelbyville in Findlay, Ill., August 29-30 for the fifth and final regular-season event. As many as 200 boaters and 200 co-anglers are expected to compete in the tournament, which will award as much as $45,000 in cash, including a top award of $6,000 in the Boater Division.
