 <description>&lt;p&gt;LINCOLN, Neb. - Volunteer youth fishing instructors will be certified Oct. 29 at the Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. The free workshop starts at 9 a.m.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Certified instructors in Game and Parks&#039; Youth Fishing Program will learn how to put on fishing programs, derbies and club activities for children and families. Instructors will have the use of free fishing tackle and educational resources at clinics.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&quot;The closure is due to floodwaters that put recreational boaters at risk,&quot; said Nebraska Game and Parks Commission Boating Law Administrator Herb Angell. &quot;The wash and wake caused by motorboats could cause additional damage to already flooded properties. Fast, deep water, loaded with debris has created a danger to boaters and public safety.&quot;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Anyone operating a motorboat or personal watercraft in Nebraska must be at least 18 years of age but may be ages 14 through 17 if they have passed the Nebraska boating safety course and are in possession of a valid certificate card. However, a boating safety course is recommended for boaters of all ages. Boating safety certification from other states is recognized in Nebraska.&lt;/p&gt;
