MANY, Louisiana - Glen Freeman of Converse, Louisiana, won the Walmart Bass Fishing League® Louisiana/Texas Division tournament on Toledo Bend Saturday with a five-bass catch weighing 21 pounds, 15 ounces. The victory earned Freeman $3,766 and placed him one step closer to qualifying for the DeGray Lake Regional Championship in Arkadelphia, Ark., Oct. 22-24, where he could ultimately win a new Ranger boat and a Chevy truck.

NATCHITOCHES, LOUISIANA - The Louisiana/Texas Division of the $8 million Walmart Bass Fishing League® will visit Red River in Natchitoches, Louisiana, May 2 for the third of five regular-season events. As many as 200 boaters and 200 co-anglers are expected to compete in the tournament, which will award as much as $45,000 in cash, including a top award of $6,000 in the Boater Division.

MANY, LOUISIANA - When James Niggemeyer of Van, Texas, left the dock Sunday morning for a 3 ½-hour fish-off against fellow Texan Jerrel Pringle, the Bassmaster Elite Series pro worried that heavy cloud cover would kill his sight-fishing bite and the victory would slip away at the Bassmaster Central Open on Toledo Bend Reservoir.

The new Gulf Coast Angler's Association kicked off its second tournament of the year on Saturday, February 21, adding more new faces and new friends. Anglers launched promptly at 6:30 A.M. from Breton Sound Marina in Hopedale, LA and were met by cool temperatures, low tides, and dirty water. Even though fishing conditions were not as favorable as desired 25 teams found redfish to bring to the scales.

The victory earned McCall $2,703 and placed him one step closer to qualifying for the DeGray Lake Regional Championship in Arkadelphia, Ark., Oct. 22-24, where he could ultimately win a new Ranger boat and a Chevy truck.

COLUMBIA, South Carolina - The Berkley Experience Trailer is headed to the Bassmaster Classic Outdoor Expo in Shreveport, Louisiana The trailer will roll in February 19-22 and will offer demonstrations and interactive games for kids and adults.
