SNAP-TAIL LURES ANNOUNCES NATIONAL RETAILER INITIATIVE

Fishing Tackle News | Oklahoma Fishing News

TULSA, Oklahoma - Snap Tail Lures has announced a new sales and promotion program to put its patented plastic worm with changing tail snaps on the shelves of tackle stores nationally.

Until now the unique worm-and-snap system for bass and walleye angling was available only to website and phone customers. Unlike other plastic worms, Snap Tail worms have a tail slot that accepts two matching snaps of the same or different colors. The angler can customize the Snap Tail plastic worm with dozens of color combinations to entice strikes.

"Retailers have been calling asking to stock the Snap Tail system. Bass and walleye anglers are telling them the Snap Tail worm-and-snap system outfishes other plastic worms by a mile," said Robb Line, vice president of marketing.

Interviewing sales firms
Line said the company is interviewing sales representative firms with the manpower to put Snap Tail Lures on retail shelves nationally. He said Snap Tail Lures would support its retailers with an aggressive program of in-store promotions, pro angler and event sponsorships, sport show demonstrations, plus national public relations and advertising.

Snap Tail Lures has changed its packaging from blister packs to retail display-friendly zipper-lock plastic pouches with six plastic worms in two lengths, 8-inch and 6-inch, in six colors plus six colored tail snap combinations.

"You can change tail colors with snaps faster than you can change worms of different colors, so the pro style competitor will discover the best color presentation faster than other anglers," says Line.

Snap Tail worms have a prominent "S-curve" tail, making them look alive in the water. Retrieved as a swimming lure, the tail exhibits a life-like springing motion. Even if the angler lets the worm sit in one spot, Snap Tail's memory technology makes the tail stand up tall and wave seductively to nearby game fish.

Line said Snap Tail Lures manufactures its plastic worms in both full-tail and half-tail versions to help anglers "match the hatch" on all bodies of water in all areas of the country.

Snap Tail Lures' plastic worms accept any style of plastic worm hook or rigging style. "You can rig it to drop shot, Texas style or Carolina style. You can fish it weightless. You can fish it shaky-head style and you can even rig it for a death-roll retrieve," said Line.

The full Snap Tail Lures store line consists of 24 zippered bags with worms and snaps featuring its 8-inch and 6-inch worms, each in both full tail and half tail versions. They come in the six colors most preferred by anglers -- Sapphire Blue, Green Pumpkin, Black Neon, Silver Smoke, June Bug and Watermelon Seed.
