General Fishing News

TORONTO, Canada-- WFN: World Fishing Network, North America's only 24-hour fishing lifestyle network will present a full week of prime-time programming focused on traveling the globe in search of the best places to fish. Beginning on Monday December 1st and continuing through Sunday December 7th, Destination: Fishing on WFN and WFN HD will air each day from 6 pm to midnight ET.

"There's nothing anglers like more than the chance to fish in different locations around the globe," said Mark Rubinstein, President of WFN HD. "As the weather turns cold in many parts of North America, now is the time people begin planning their fishing vacations for 2009. For anglers looking for a new location, the 42-hours of targeted programming we are presenting with Destination: Fishing is required viewing."

Hosted by the sexy second-generation angler Mariko Izumi, host of WFN's 5-Cast and Hookin' Up, Destination: Fishing, provides travel tips and noteworthy information about the regions visited by each show. Every hour at the top of the hour Mariko offers viewers another tip to augment the travel-focused lineup of programming. Throughout the week she'll be joined by guest anglers in studio to share their own travels tips and stories. In addition to the studio segments, during commercial breaks viewers will see some familiar faces from the fishing industry checking in to provide a few travel tips and stories of their own
