AQUALUMA UNDERWATER LIGHTING INTRODUCES THE NEW AQUALUMA GEN II RANGE

Fishing Tackle News

Australian-based Aqualuma Underwater Lighting™ came blazing into the industry just a few short years ago, but has been setting the bar high for innovation ever since. Aqualuma has already taken the industry by storm, with its unique lines of cutting-edge products - including the acclaimed Aqualuma Brake Light System™, which won the prestigious "Most Innovative Safety Product" Award at the 2008 US National Marine Manufacturers Award.

Now, the company is proud to release its industry-leading new Aqualuma GEN II™ range, which delivers more than double the light emitted from the previous generation lights, further highlighting the company's commitment to remain the world leader in underwater lighting products.

Aqualuma Director, Carl Amor, reports that the development of the Aqualuma GEN II was a logical next step for the company. "One of our core commitments is to continually develop and enhance our product range to the highest level. With the release of the Aqualuma GEN II, we have taken the Aqualuma product line to the next logical level."

Like the company's original line of advanced LED lighting solutions, GEN II continues to offer numerous advantages over the traditional halogen lighting systems and other competitive LED products.

Aqualuma has retained the exclusive one-piece housing, manufactured from a specially formulated polymer with a tint for higher clarity. This new formula is even stronger and more flexible than the original sturdy GEN I housing. The enhanced formula is also resistant to all chemicals, allowing the Aqualuma GEN II housing to be fitted with any sealant, eliminating the need for a specific sealer.

The development of the Aqualuma GEN II range has also resulted in a more compact driver - which runs at a lower temperature, ensuring a much longer life and even greater reliability. A tighter packaging for the rear gland has allowed a stronger hold on the cable and a coil tail, which avoids the possibility of the cable being pinched or crushed.

While the driver has been significantly improved, the light generator has new LED technology - which also offers fantastic reliability and perhaps more importantly, is producing more than double the output of light of the range.

Aqualuma™ Director, Grant Amor, said that the more than doubling of the output of light was a major achievement for GEN II™. "Through significant amounts of research and development, we ensured that the Aqualuma GEN II is more than just an improvement to our exclusive one-piece housing. It also develops significant advances in light output through our new LED technology."

Doubling the light output wasn't just achieved in just one line of lights, but in all ranges. It is notable with the improved driver that Aqualuma's acclaimed 1 and 3 Series still only draw .5 of an amp, and the Aqualuma 6 Series is still less than one amp - which is another testament to the results of our research and development program.

"While we have more than doubled the light output throughout the range, we have in no way compromised on reliability. Our customer base is accustomed to tremendous reliability from their Aqualuma lights, and the Aqualuma GEN II is no different. These lights will provide thousands of hours of reliable performance," says Amor.
