BLACKFIN PRO STAFFER TAKES TITLE
Montgomery, Alabama - Blackfin™ Pro Staffer Barnie White along with fishing partner Jason Miller took top honors in the 2-day Team Trails RedFish Championship tournament in Reggio, Louisiana.
Twelve qualifying teams competed in this tournament. The Blackfin team led both days. On day one the total of 15.7 pounds kept them in the lead and on day two 14.89 pounds solidified the win. Team Blackfin was not satisfied with just winning the tournament; they also took home the honor of the biggest fish of the tournament - a whopping 8.57 pounds.
This winning team is now preparing for the FLW Championship starting October 30.
The FLW Redfish Series consists of two divisions - Eastern and Western. Each division is comprised of four qualifying events with a $200,000 purse for each event. The top 100 teams - 50 from each division after four qualifying events - qualified for the three-day, championship round with a top prize of $100,000. Steve and Barnie, Blackfin pro-staff team members, placed high enough in this tournament to qualify for the upcoming tournament to put them into the qualifying event.
Recreational anglers may think that fishing is all luck, but serious anglers know that preparation is the key to success. On the professional and amateur fishing tour circuit throughout the year the same names always seem to appear at or near the top of the leader board. Two things that all of these teams have in common is that they make certain that their equipment is in excellent shape and they are always looking to improve their performance with cutting-edge new products.
