St. Croix State Park's Snowmobile Trails are Closed for the Season
Submitted by FishNews on Mon, 2008-03-24 10:18.St Croix State Park’s winter trails are Closed for the Season.
Snowmobile trails are closed due to the lack of protective snow cover on bridge decks and black top roads, and the generally poor trail conditions. Thank you for a Great Year of snowmobiling! We have enjoyed the opportunity to host your winter outings and hope that you enjoyed St Croix’s trails and facilities. On behalf of the staff at St Croix State Park, thank you for being our guests and we look forward to seeing you back next winter.
Cross Country Ski trails remain snow covered but are un-groomed with no track discernable. Leaf and pine needle litter are exposed making it difficult to ski. Hiking is a much better option.
St. Croix currently offers great opportunities to enjoy the approach of spring. Two short hiking trails are plowed and maintained for winter hiking. As warmer weather progresses additional hiking opportunities will be available.
